FABZ PI
Fabz Pi left his home in Ethiopia at the age of 16 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional soccer player in The Netherlands. He had to watch his dream fall apart when he injured his knee and was forced to forfeit playing soccer. That moment lead him to find his passion for music as it was his light through the dark periods he passed through after his injury.
FABZ Pi is like an alchemist on a journey leaving a trail of a unique blend of spiritual trap and mosh pit energy during his live sets in a punk style delivery accompanying his auto tune inspired melodic trap music. He has quickly risen to be an artist to keep an eye on in the scene of Rotterdam according to Red Bull Music top 13 to watch out for from the 010. He’s a 2x finalist in the “Big prize of Rotterdam” competition and has also reached the final stage of the “Most Wanted” competition in Melkweg Amsterdam. In the Summer of 2018 he released his first EP "Life of Pi Season" and it has now been streamed more than 500,000 times. Pop Unie mentioned in their review that he is one of best and most versatile Trap Rappers in the country. FABZ Pi also released Season 2 of his Life of Pi series in July and it has already been streamed more than 100,000 times. FABZ is currently working on the third installment coming at the end of the year.

How do you take time off to charge your creative batteries
I make sure I keep living and travelling, I think experiencing different emotions and seeing new places and people allow me to constantly be creative. I used to have creative 'phases' but now it's on demand. I guess it's like a sport, do it enough times and it becomes second nature.
Describe yourself in 3 words
Passionate, adventurous and curious.
Do you have a favourite track you are working on at the moment
I'm always working on new songs so the latest one is mostly the one I'm listening to the most but I would say all of the Season 3 songs with Sterk Atleet, especially an indie rockish song.
Do you have a favourite lyric you have written to date
I found a way to fly with broken wings i'd rather die than see my people eaten by the lie we living border line I, found hope in my depression, hope you find yourself inside your minds suppression, mind your thoughts your mind's a weapon Create your heaven or your Live in your hell, understand your powers not everybody will get saved by the bell.
What do you have planned for the rest of the year?
I'm dropping 2 spin off EP's Life of Pi Multiverse: Portal II & III and also on working on Life of Pi Season 3 (dropping 2021). I also have various singles which will come out in between the projects and I heard the other day ill be in the Final of the music competition of Rotterdam. im excited!
